New Speaker Announced: Iain Duncan Smith MP

Clare Politics is pleased to announce that the fourth speaker of Lent Term 2008 will be former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith MP.

Iain Duncan Smith is Member of Parliament for the constituency of Chingford and Woodford Green. He was leader of the Conservative Party from September 2001 to November 2003.

After losing the Conservative leadership in October 2003 he established The Centre for Social Justice to continue his commitment to compassionate conservatism.

The Centre for Social Justice is a policy group that works finding and supporting innovative grass-roots approaches to fighting poverty.

Iain Duncan Smith will address Clare Politics on the subject of:
‘Social Justice and the Future of the Conservative Party’
