A new committee, a new look and various exciting news
Posted by Matt Juden on October 1st, 2007
A warm welcome to the revamped Clare Politics website for 2007/8 on behalf of all the new committee.
We are still confirming dates with some speakers for Michaelmas term but check the
What’s On? section which will be updated with confirmed speakers.
We hope to run joint events with Queens/Clare Overseas Education Fund and other societies this year - keep checking the What’s On? page, or sign up to our mailing list for more details. If you’d prefer that we keep in touch via Facebook, join our group.
The videos of previous talks are now being posted to the video highlights archive, so if you couldn’t make a talk last year, or if you cannot make one this year, use that resource to avoid missing out.
We’d like to extend a particularly warm welcome to the incoming freshers at Cambridge University- we hope you will find our talks stimulating, and help us to build on the success of the previous year and join in the discussion at the talks, in the bar, and in the blog posts here. We will be at CUSU societies fair so head over and talk to us there.
We will soon be recruiting a new team of bloggers to keep clarepolitics.co.uk full of spirited discussion, political news, and informed opinion. If you would be interested in blogging for Clare Politics, email the president. No blogging experience is necessary, but writing ability and a healthy interest in politics are both advantages.
