We’re very sorry to announce that we have had to postpone tonight’s event. Unfortunately the trains between Cambridge and London have been cancelled owing to the severe weather and our guest has no other means on making itto the meeting in time.

We have rescheduled the event for later in the term - in the week beginning Monday 5 March. We will announce more details nearer the time.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment at such short notice. I know lots of you were looking forward to the event, as we were. Unfortunately the weather is, of course, outside our control . . . and not even Barack Obama can do anything about that.
